In 1.5 hours I will take you on a special ride from your accommodation to the Drenkelingenhuisje. Along the way, I will show you exactly where the island lives and moves: places where dunes disappear, new beach flats emerge, and nature constantly follows its own path.

During this journey, I share my observations and experiences from the past five years. Through my stories and explanations, you will experience Terschelling in a completely new way—with an eye for the subtle changes, the power of the elements, and the special dynamics of this beautiful island.

With beautiful photos from the tour, you can also enjoy reminiscing for a while.

Go on an adventure to the very tip of Terschelling!

Would you like, in addition to a stop at the Drenkelingenhuisje, to also enjoy a walk on the most remote part of Terschelling — with a good chance of seeing seals up close, both on the beach and in the water?

Then this special trip is just the thing for you!

With: the Amelandergat is not always accessible by car anymore. If you are in good physical condition and can walk a total of 40 minutes, we are less dependent on the tide. If you have limited mobility, we will need to take into account that it is low tide and that the elements of nature ensure that it does not blow too hard from the NW corner.

During this unique experience, I take professional photos of everything we encounter along the way. Of course, I also photograph you so that afterwards you receive a beautiful digital record as a lasting memory.

Along the way we take the time to warm up with a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and a delicious cookie from my built-in bar.

Discover Terschelling with our exclusive beach tour

Join me on a unique journey along the vast beach of Terschelling. During this exclusive tour, we explore the area from the Groene Strand all the way to the Amelandergat. It is the perfect way to experience the beach in all its grandeur: you will see for yourself how wide the beach is, how it is constantly expanding, and how a new part of Terschelling is slowly but surely being created.

Along the way, I will tell you everything about what I have experienced and learned on the beach over the past five years. You will get a unique behind-the-scenes look at the natural forces that shape this special island. I will show you which elements play a role in the ongoing changes and what influence wind, water, and tides have on the erosion of the dunes on the east side.

Arriving at the Amelandergat, we will check if there are seals lying on the sandbanks or swimming in the water – a special moment that is different every time. The walk to this point takes about 40 minutes round trip. For guests who have difficulty walking, we can drive quite far up the beach. However, this is only possible at low tide and when the wind is not coming from the northwest, because the water level becomes too high then.

During the tour, we also keep an eye out for the animals that live here. If we come across very young or sick seals, I report them immediately to the seal sanctuary with a video according to their guidelines. We can take weakened birds with us right away, so they can later be safely brought to the bird sanctuary. And of course, we stop along the way for amber: we search together, so that in addition to a beautiful photo report, you might take home a special piece of amber as a souvenir.

To let you fully enjoy the beach, I can also provide a delicious meal by the campfire after an adventurous beach ride. Enjoy the calm, the space, and the warmth of the fire while reflecting on everything you have seen and experienced along the way.
